COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND INFORMATION
- Q: Does KCC install or supply shutters or protection for the windows?
A: No. Tenants must provide their own protection and installation for the windows.
- Q: What if my unit already came with shutters, will maintenance personnel install them for me?
A: No. Please refer to answer #1.
- Q: Does KCC have extra plywood or shutters left over from a vacant unit?
A: No. You may purchase plywood from our Tenant ABC Lumber and Hardware, Home Depot or Lowes.
- Q: Does the building insurance protect my contents?
A: No. Tenants are required to have their own General Liability insurance. Each Tenant is responsible for their contents, entry doors and garage doors. The Landlord's insurance will only cover the basic building and property.
- Q: Will KCC remove or protect my exhaust fan?
A: No. Exhaust fans are already secured to the roof. There is no need to remove them.
It is imperative that you listen to all hurricane related updates via radio, television, newspaper, and any Internet related services. Please follow all instructions issued from the authorities as they are professionals and equipped to handle such emergencies. Management personnel are not authorities in the field of natural disasters and cannot advise you in making decisions regarding your personal safety.
